Top PNPs You Should Target To Get Canadian PR in 2021

Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs allow provinces and territories in Canada to select candidates and nominate them for Canadian PR.

PNPs invite candidates on the basis of their specific province criteria. There are more than 80 PNPs, each with unique eligibility criteria. Provincial Nominee Programs let Canadian provinces respond to their unique immigration needs.

PNPs are a great way for foreign nationals to gain Canadian PR. PNPs require candidates to have some connection with the specific province through the previous study in the province, work experience in the province, or a valid job offer from an employer in the province. However, a few PNPs also accept candidates who do not live in Canada and do not have any connection to that particular Canadian province.

PNPs are a great way to get Canadian PR. According to the best immigration consultant for Canada, here are the three easiest provinces your should target first in 2021 to get Canadian Permanent Residency.

1. Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker PNP

Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker Provincial Nominee Program is designed to attract workers with some experience in the in-demand occupations in the Saskatchewan province. For a candidate to be eligible for this program, he/she must have at least one year of experience in one of the occupations listed in the province’s In-Demand Occupations List.

Since Saskatchewan has expanded its In-Demand Occupations list, more candidates will now be eligible to apply. Also, candidates who are applying must have completed a post-secondary educational program of at least one year and should have some proficiency in either French or English language.

Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker PNP has two streams for candidates who live outside of Canada - the Saskatchewan Express Entry Stream for which the candidate should have an active Express Entry profile and the Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand stream which does not require any Express Entry profile.

2.  Alberta’s Express Entry Stream

Alberta, Canada’s western province is home to some thriving cities of Canada like Edmonton and Calgary. With a great education system and a constantly growing job market, this province should definitely be considered as one of your immigration options to Canada.

Alberta’s Express Entry Stream selects candidates from the Express Entry pool and invites them to apply for PR through their provincial nominee program. A major benefit of applying for a PR through this stream is that the minimum CRS score for applying is 300. This means more candidates will be eligible to apply and will have a chance to receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from the province.

Receiving a provincial nomination will boost a candidate’s CRS score by 600 points which will virtually guarantee that they will receive an ITA for Canadian PR in the next Express Entry draw.

3.  Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream

Ontario is one of the hottest destinations for immigrants as many newcomers are drawn towards the hustle-bustle of Toronto city. Moreover, Toronto’s growing tech market and hence its constantly rising job market is another reason newcomers prefer Ontario province.

For candidates outside of Canada, the province’s Human Capital Priorities Stream is a great means for immigration. This stream provides an immigration chance to skilled workers who will be able to potentially fill the province’s skilled employment positions.

Human Capital Priorities stream is aligned with Express Entry system and so to be considered a candidate must have an active profile in the Express Entry pool with a CRS score of 400 or higher.

Last summer, Ontario under its Human Capital Priorities Stream started conducting draws targeting tech workers. To be eligible, the candidates must have relevant work experience in one of the six designated NOC codes. Since the launch, the province has conducted three tech-specific draws in total and has invited 4,350 candidates so far. The province also offers a PNP stream for skilled workers with advanced proficiency in the French language.

Canada has more than 80 PNPs for immigration. We know it can be daunting to choose which program is the best fit for you. If you want to learn more about Canada’s provincial nominee programs and our Canada immigration services, feel free to get in touch with our immigration experts.
